Main Menu
The Main Menu Panel provides a comprehensive interface featuring menu items, buttons, and combo boxes. It is context-sensitive, meaning the displayed content and controls adapt automatically to the current working mode.
The primary working modes are: #1 Selection/Transform, #2 Node Editing, and #3 Lettering. Detailed descriptions of the menu items for these modes are provided in their respective chapters.
In auxiliary working modes, this panel is simplified to include only essential controls, such as the Cancel and Apply buttons, ensuring the interface remains intuitive.
Mode #3 — Lettering
This mode is activated upon initiating text entry or editing.
The menu panel in Lettering mode contains the following items and buttons:
Menu Items
- Tools - Access Undo/Redo functions, load or save lettering projects, paste text from the clipboard, and exit Lettering mode.
- Font - Scan for available fonts (note: this does not apply to pre-digitized Alphabets) and apply styles such as Bold, Italic, Vertical, or Other Side orientation.
- Nodes - Perform operations on baseline nodes, including Insert and Delete, to manipulate the text path.
Note: The font scanning process searches for fonts installed within the operating system, as well as non-installed fonts located in folders and archives specified in the lettering settings.
Buttons
Exit and cancel the current Lettering Mode session.
Finalize and close Lettering Mode.
Finalize Lettering Mode and automatically generate stitches for the characters.
Combo box: Set the text alignment (Left, Center, Right).
Combo box: Define the sewing sequence of the characters.
Combo box: Select the specific type of fill and outline for the lettering.
Combo box: Configure the behavior of connection stitches between characters.
