Measurement Tool

The Measurement Tool measures distances and angles within a design. It allows you to create one or two measuring lines. If two lines are present, the tool also measures the angle between them. The measured values are displayed on the main control panel.

The Measurement Tool is available from the Tool Box.

Click the Measurement Tool button in the tool box to start measurement.

Place the first point anywhere in the Work Area. Then, place the second point. Points can be selected and moved in the same way as nodes in the creation/editing mode.

Measurement Tool - length and angle

The main control panel displays the measured distance and angles.

1
Measurement Tool - distance
is the distance between the points.
2
Measurement Tool - horizontal part of the distance
is the horizontal part of the distance (distance along the horizontal axis).
3
Measurement Tool - vertical part of the distance
is the vertical part of the distance (distance along the vertical axis).
4
Measurement Tool - angle between the line and horizontal axis
is the angle between the line connecting the points and the horizontal axis.
5
Measurement Tool - angle between the two lines
is the angle between the two measurement lines.

The Measurement Tool can also use three points (two lines). Place the third point on the work area in the same way as the previous points. Three points are useful for measuring the angle between objects. In such a case, (5) represents this angle.

Values (1)-(4) refer to the highlighted line. (5) always refers to the angle between the two lines.
