This tutorial explains how to insert a chosen color emoji as a background image, which might be enlarged and converted to stitches with a few clicks as shown below.
Note: This new feature is enabled for all users who have registration of the Font Engine Plug-in. For others, it works in demo mode, allowing you to choose only from 3 emojis.
Note: Emojis are supported only in Windows 10 and Windows 11. Also, they differ between these two Windows versions. Find more information here.
1 - Run Embird and click the "Editor" menu to switch to the Editor window.
2 - Select the "Insert > Emoji" menu (Picture No. 1).

3 - A dialog with Emojis will appear (Picture No. 2). Double-click an emoji and select the "OK" button.

4 - The background image is inserted into the Editor (Picture No. 3). Enlarge the emoji (1) first and then convert the whole background image to stitches (2).

5 - It is possible to convert the image and obtain a color design, or a monotone one. Choose the "Color" option (Picture No. 4).

6 - It is possible to convert also the background color (white) to stitches, or consider it as transparent (Picture No. 5).

8 - Specify "0 mm" for both "Offset" and "Bounce" settings. (These settings allow you to inflate/shrink recognized curves, which are going to be filled with the chosen fill. Offset is for the outside area boundary, and bounce is for inside cavities.)

9 - Select a fill pattern (Picture No. 8).

10 - Select the "Image > None" menu to remove the background image (Picture No. 9).

11 - Check the result and save it to a file using the "File > Save As" menu (Picture No. 10).

12 - It is possible to insert the emoji as a Celtic Knots design. Select the "Insert > Emoji" menu, choose an emoji, and select the "Insert as Celtic Knots emoji" button (Picture No. 11).

13 - A dialog "Insert Celtic Knots Emoji" will appear (Picture No. 12). Specify the size and watch the estimated size of the pattern being inserted. Modify knots settings (type, distance, width, etc.). Try various fill types - there are 80+ available. It is possible to apply Transformation ("Scale", "Fish Eye", "Skew", "3D"). Change a parameter and after a short while watch the Preview box to see how it affects the final result.

14 - Check the result and save it to a file using the "File > Save As" menu (Picture No. 10).
