How to Use Embird for Windows on Mac (OS X) with CrossOver®

Embird for Windows can also be used on a Mac with the OS X operating system.

There are a couple of solutions that allow you to run Windows applications on a Mac along with OS X: CrossOver, Wine, and Parallels.

This tutorial explains how to install the CrossOver® application on an Apple Mac. This application allows you to run Embird (a native Windows application) on an Apple Mac computer*. You do not need to have a Windows® installation disc for this solution.

Note: Please note that the CrossOver® application for Apple Mac is not developed nor supported by the Embird team. Also, because Embird is a native Windows application, it is not guaranteed that all portions of the program will run smoothly in CrossOver® on an Apple Mac.

1 - Launch the CrossOver® website at https://www.codeweavers.com/crossover/ and click the "Free Trial" button (Picture No. 1).

2 - Select "macOS" to download the correct installation package and enter your name and e-mail (Picture No. 2).

5 - Run the downloaded file to install CrossOver® (Picture No. 5).

6 - Click the "Move to Application Folder" button (Picture No. 6).

7 - In CrossOver®, click Install an unlisted application (Picture No. 7).

8 - It is assumed that you have already downloaded the Embird installation file. If not, please download it from https://www.embird.net/download.htm.

Click the first "Edit" button and choose the installation file from your "Downloads" folder.

Click the second "Edit" button and specify the Windows version and the name of the bottle.

Finally, click the "Install" button to start the installation process (Picture No. 8).

9 - The Embird installation process will start. Choose your language and select "OK" to continue (Picture No. 9).

10 - Read the license agreement, select the option "I accept the terms in the license agreement," and click the "Install" button to continue (Picture No. 10).

11 - When the Embird installation process is finished, the "Embird 32-bit" bottle with Embird icons will be shown in CrossOver® (Picture No. 11). Double-click the first icon to launch Embird.
