Embird Software consists of Embird Manager and Embird Editor. Optionally, plug-in modules are available for Embird Software, e.g. pre-digitized alphabets, Cross Stitch, Digitizing Tools, Sfumato Stitch, Iconizer, Font Engine.

Embird Manager

allows you to read/write designs stored on floppy disks in various embroidery formats, format and duplicate floppy disks. You can convert designs among different formats, view designs in 1:1 scale, and create various types of documentation. Detail, simple or thumbnails documentation can be printed on printer or exported into .BMP or .JPG file. Photorealistic preview provides an ability to assign proper colors to needles and to check design without actual embroidering. Embird Manager also makes it possible to find corresponding thread in ARC Polyester, ARC Rayon, Aurifil Lana, Aurifil Mako, Aurifil Polyester, Aurifil Rayon, Brother Country, Brother Embroidery, Coats Alcazar, Coats Sylko, FuFu Polyester, FuFu Rayon, Isacord Polyester, Isafil Rayon, Isalon Polyester, Janome, King Star, Madeira Polyneon, Madeira Rayon, Marathon Polyester, Marathon Rayon, Mettler Embroidery, Mettler Poly Sheen, Princess, Robison-Anton Polyester, Robison-Anton Rayon, Royal, Sulky Rayon and Vyapar catalogs*.

Embird Editor

allows you to edit existing designs, and compose a new designs by merging several designs (see also Insert Menu). You can resize a design and adjust the density, either automatically or manually. A design can also be mirrored, centered, skewed, rotated and properly positioned in the hoop. You can split designs by freehand-defined polygon or by specifying initial and ending stitch of a sequence. Several designs can be joined together. Part of a design can be erased. You can change the order that design parts are embroidered. Color changes can be inserted or removed in Embird Editor. You can sort colors in design to decrease number of color changes. Finally, you can see how a design will embroider in Sew Simulator at various speeds ranging from 1 stitch per second to 10000; this feature operates much as a VCR with pause and rewind functions and is useful for isolating the exact stitch number where you want to begin splitting a design. (See also Editor Menu.)

Plug-ins

You can test them all free before purchasing!

Alphabet plug-ins allow you to create lettering. See also Insert Text. Download installation file for each alphabet from https://www.embird.net/download.htm and run it on your computer. Unregistered alphabet plug-in doesn't support all characters, only A, B and C.

Cross Stitch plug-in allows to create new cross stitch designs, even with outlines. Design is digitized so that user puts pixels into a grid either on a blank background or on an image. When finished, each pixel is compiled into cross and the design is launched into Embird Editor for final adjustment and save in desired embroidery format. Installation file of Cross Stitch is included in Embird installation file. If you have Embird installed already, Cross Stitch is installed too. However, registration fee of Embird does not cover registration of Cross Stitch. Unregistered Cross Stitch plug-in has stitch limit and saving of the finished design is not enabled in Editor. See also Insert Menu.

Digitizing Tools (former Digitizing Studio) plug-in is program for digitizing new designs. Design is digitized so that user creates outline (vector) Objects either on a blank background or on an image (template). When finished, design is compiled into stitches and put into Embird Editor for final adjustment and save in desired embroidery format. Digitizing Tools plug-in and Sfumato Stitch plug-in create the Studio program. Download installation file for Studio from https://www.embird.net/download.htm and run it on your computer. Unregistered Digitizing Tools plug-in has stitch limit and saving of the finished design is not enabled in Editor. See also Insert Menu.

Sfumato Stitch plug-in is program for creating multicolor designs from photos. It creates designs with use of small curves of stitches that approximate brightness of image. Current version produces designs with up to 22 colors. With our special algorithm for stitches calculation, Sfumato Stitch produces designs with fine detail and crisp edges even at small size. Sfumato Stitch plug-in and Digitizing Tools plug-in create the Studio program. Download installation file for Studio from https://www.embird.net/download.htm and run it on your computer. Unregistered Sfumato Stitch plug-in has stitch limit and saving of the finished design is not enabled in Editor. See also Insert Menu.

Iconizer** plug-in displays embroidery files instead of common Windows icons in Microsoft® Windows™ Explorer. It helps you to organize your designs. (See also eXplorer Menu). Installation file of Iconizer is included in Embird installation file. If you have Embird installed already, Iconizer is installed too. However, registration fee of Embird does not cover registration of Iconizer. Unregistered Iconizer plug-in doesn't show all icons.

It is possible to create lettering with satin (auto-column), plain or motif fills, and with thin, satin or applique outlines. Please note that there are no TrueType nor OpenType fonts included in Font Engine. Font Engine is just engine, which is capable of converting these fonts into stitches. You can search for fonts on Internet, and a great source of fonts is also Corel® CorelDRAW™ software - there are about 1000 fonts included in their package. Installation file of Font Engine is included in Embird installation file. If you have Embird installed already, Font Engine is installed too. However, registration fee of Embird does not cover registration of Font Engine. Unregistered Font Engine plug-in doesn't support all characters, only A, B and C. See also Insert Menu.
