Parent/Descendant Track

Embird Embroidery Software Tutorial

This tutorial explains how to use the Parent/Descendant Track feature.

1 - Run Embird.

2 - Switch ON the option "Options > Settings > Keep Parent/Descendant Track" (Picture No. 1).

1. Switch ON the option "Options > Settings > Keep Parent/Descendant Track"

3 - Select a file, "hedera1.dst" in this example (Picture No. 2).

4 - Convert this file to another format, e.g., to .hus.

2. Select a file, convert it to another format

5 - Check the Descendant button. It is now enabled and allows you to quickly browse to the descendant of the selected file, i.e., to "hedera1.hus" (Picture No. 3).

3. Click the Descendant button

6 - Check the Parent button. It is now enabled and allows you to quickly browse to the parent of the selected file, i.e., to "hedera1.dst" (Picture No. 4).

4. Click the Parent button

Note: The information about the parent/descendant track is stored in the EMBIRD.TAG file located in the "User Data Folder".
