This tutorial explains how to sort colors in selected objects to obtain less thread changes. Smart color sorting feature allows to group the same (or similar) colors without changing the appearance of desing sewout.
1 - Run Embird program.
2 - Select "Embird" menu to switch to Editor.
3 - Select "File > Open" menu to open an existing design (Picture No. 1).

4 - Select "Edit > Corner" menu to duplicate selected object and put it into all four corners of the hoop (Picture No. 2).

5 - Choose the way of placing objects into the corners (Picture No. 3).

6 - Selected object was duplicated and placed into all corners of the hoop (Picture No. 4). Now there are 4 objects containing the same 3 colors. Smart color sorting allows to group the same colors to decrease the number of thread changes in final design containing these 4 objects.

7 - Select "Edit > Select > Select All" menu to select all objects on work area (Picture No. 5).

8 - All objects on work area are selected - the black rectangle is drawn around each object icon at the rigth side of the screen (Picture No. 6).

9 - Select "Edit > Colors > Smart Color Sort" menu to group colors (Picture No. 7).

10 - It is possible to specify maximal difference of colors R,G,B components for grouping of similar (but not the same) colors (Picture No. 8). Specify "0" to group only exactly the same colors, or larger number to group also slightly different colors.
