Understanding the Passwords System

See also Registration

There are two kinds of passwords for Embird products:

1. Registration password for Embird.

2. Plug-in registration numbers for alphabets, Cross Stitch, Digitizing Tools, Sfumato Stitch, Iconizer and Font Engine.

These passwords are explained below:

1. Download the demo Embird software from our site https://www.embird.net/download.htm and install it. The demo is fully functional for 30 days or 100 runs, whichever comes first. The countdown starts after you install Embird on your computer and cannot be reset. Once the demo expires, it is no longer fully functional and will work only with the free Balarad designs, stored in folder C:\Program Files\EMBIRD32\FILES (or C:\EMBIRD32\FILES). Registration password for Embird will stop the expiration even if it has expired already. When you purchase Embird (the current price is US $129*), please go to http://www.embird.net/sw/embird/register.htm and follow the directions to pay. (See below for procedure and cost to purchase plug-in modules.) After we are notified of your successful payment, we will send your registration password from Balarad. We usually send the password via e-mail attachment within 48 hours after payment, with directions for installing. The PASSWORD.KLC file must be saved from attachment into folder C:\Program Files\EMBIRD32 (or C:\EMBIRD32), which was created when you installed the Embird demo. The demo will be changed into the full version if the correct PASSWORD.KLC file is found. Please note that there is no special setup file for full version of Embird. Run Embird to change it from the demo into the full version. When Embird starts, please verify that "Embird Manager - registered to [your name here]" appears on the blue bar at the top of the window.

2. Plug-in registration numbers enable optional Embird plug-ins, so that they become fully functional. Except for the Iconizer and the Font Engine plug-ins, all others must be downloaded and installed separately; they are not included in Embird's setup file. In the case of an alphabet plug-in, only the letters A, B, and C in upper and lower case are enabled in the demo. When you purchase an alphabet plug-in registration number, you will be able to use all characters; the current price for each alphabet plug-in is US $15*. In the case of the Sfumato Stitch plug-in, purchasing the registration number will remove the stitch limit on the demo version; the current price for Sfumato Stitch plug-in is US $90*. The same principle apply to Digitizing Tools (price US $150*) and Cross Stitch (price US $75*). In case of the Iconizer plug-in, the registration number will remove the limit of icons displayed in Explorer from the demo; the current price for the Iconizer plug-in is US $20*. In case of the Font Engine plug-in, the registration will enable all characters (not only letters A,B and C), the current price for Font Engine plug-in is US $145*.

We usually send an e-mail within 48 hours after payment; the registration numbers for each plug-in you purchased is listed with directions for installing. Please note that the plug-in registration numbers do not work until you have registered Embird. Therefore, always register Embird first; only then can you enter plug-in registration numbers, as follows:
