Insert Effect

Embird Embroidery Software Tutorial

This tutorial explains how to add effect to existing design in Embird Editor. Various types of effects are available, sample of each one is shown below.

1 - Run Embird program.

2 - Select "Embird" menu to switch to Editor.

3 - Select "File > Open" menu to open an existing design (Picture No. 1).

4 - Select "Insert > Effect" menu (Picture No. 2)

Plate Effect

5 - Choose Plate effect type in a dialog box which appears on the screen (Picture No. 3)

6 - Specify how to fill the plate - select "Fill" button (Picture No. 4).

7 - Choose Motif fill type for this effect (Picture No. 5)

8 - The new object will appear behind the design (Picture No. 6). Move the design to the side to check this Plate Effect (Picture No. 7). The result of "Color Plate" effect is shown in Picture No. 8 where random colors are applied.

Sleeve Effect

9 - Try to select another type of effect in "Insert > Effect" menu - Sleeve Effect (Picture No. 9).

10 - Choose Auto Column fill type for this effect (Picture No. 10)

11 - The new object will appear behind the design (Picture No. 11). Move the design to the side to check this Sleeve Effect (Picture No. 12). The result of "Color Sleeve" effect is shown in Picture No. 13 where random colors are applied.

Exterior Effect

12 - Try to select another type of effect in "Insert > Effect" menu - Contour Effect (Picture No. 14).

13 - Specify stitch length for contour (Picture No. 15).

14 - The three new contours will appear arround the design (Picture No. 16).

15 - Try to select another type of effect in "Insert > Effect" menu - Exterior (Picture No. 17).

17. Choose Exterior effect

16 - Choose Motif fill type for this effect (Picture No. 18).

17 - The whole sewing area in hoop arround the design is filled with chosen motif pattern (Picture No. 19). The result of "Color Exterior" effect is shown in Picture No. 20 where random colors are applied.
